November 15th is America Recycles Day!
Here are three ways you can celebrate while wrapping up your Halloween festivities:
1. Before dumping your Halloween costume, check out Earth911′s article, “8 ways to reuse your [Halloween] costume.”
2. Don’t toss your candy wrappers – upcycle them into cool and useful things. Here’s how to make runway-worthy handbags.
3. If you have not done so already, compost your jack-o-lantern, leftover candy and natural decor. Here is how (click to view):

Or, at least, a healthy(-er) Halloween.
According to MSNBC, President Obama and First Lady Michelle treated 2,000 trick-or-treaters to goody bags containing White House made cookies, a National Park Foundation Ranger activity book, and dried fruit mixes.
The bags also contained M&Ms, but we forgive them.
Take a peek at this video to see what the Obamas wore.

What fun! Impressed by the cooperation/organization of all participants. Maybe something developing like citiy-sponsored New Year’s Eve alternative parties (sorry, forget the name).
Congratulations.

Congratulations on starting what hopefully will become a tradition.
Impressed by what happens when everyone collaborates — a little like the alternative New Year’s Eve bash (without alcohol) offered by several cities. Hope this takes off too.
